WHO WE ARE

The PRÁM Studio gathers 12 graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Given the unique space of our building, we aim to extend the range of our activities to services and cultural events for the public benefit.

Our studios, sanitary facilities and a multifunctional hall are located in the suburban area of Prague-Vysočany, in the building of a former laundry which has undergone a delicate reconstruction, retaining its industrial style. We took the building over from the Trafačka civic association, and we continue its tradition of cultural activities. We organize various cultural events ranging from exhibitions, concerts, conferences, screenings to alternative festivals.

Our mission is to create a place for international encounters, creation of authentic art and alternative education. We want to support independent artists and raise awareness of contemporary cultural activities. We wish to build a space of synergy where people enrich each other through dialogue of art and society.

residential program

Our plan includes a residential program aimed at encountering artists from abroad. Residents can take advantage of a spacious atelier where they can also live. Sanitary facilities, kitchen, social areas as well as carpentry and locksmith workshops are available too. There are plenty of opportunities for artistic and social interaction with local members. It is possible to apply for a stay of 1 month duration. Artists also have a possibility to exhibit afterwards using our exhibition space capability. Residents are chosen and invited via email applications. For application details look here.

SPACE RENTAL

We can provide a multifunctional hall complete with a bar and sanitary facilities. The newly renovated interior is bright and airy. The spirit of the industrial past resonates through the concrete frames and large multi-paned windows. Our meeting facilities are suitable for those looking for a loft style location. We offer short-term rental for purposes such as cultural events, photo shoots and filming.
