Sigurdur Atli Sigurdsson (ISL)
Sigurður Atli Sigurðsson lives and works in Reykjavík. He graduated from the department of fine arts at Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design Marseille-Méditerranée in 2013 after having obtained his bachelors degree from Iceland Academy of the Arts. In recent years he has run an independent printmaking and framing workshop focusing on accessibility, mobility and distribution. The studio called Print & Friends has set up shop in various galleries and museums in Reykjavík and New York. In relation to this he has been teaching at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts and taking care of the printmaking workshop at the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
Sigurður Atli has exhibited his work around Europe, in the U.S.A. and Japan and has held solo exhibitions in Iceland, Italy, Germany and France. Recent exhibitions include; Other Hats – International Print Center New York, An Image of You – Skaftfell, Prent & vinir – Harbinger, Do Disturb – Palais de Tokyo, #KOMASVO – Listasafn ASÍ and Feldstarke – Kyoto Art Center.
